Attention Farmers – WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program

Uncategorized

Farmers & other sellers of produce or fresh herbs,

Unfortunately, you missed our Spring Vendor Meeting where we had a representative from WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) present the benefits and rules of the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program which could benefit YOU!

Do you want access to a possible extra $30.00 from eligible participants visiting your booth? You can’t participate if you’re not signed up…

If you sell fresh produce or herbs at the Helena Farmers Market, you may want to sign up for the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program which benefits Montana’s citizens who are pregnant, post partum, children 0 to 5 years old, and parents, foster parents and guardians of children 0 to 5 years old.

Through this special WIC program, each eligible participant is allotted $30.00 to spend at the local FARMERS MARKET on fresh produce and/or fresh herbs. Participants are provided a QR code as well as a pin number to finalize the transaction and set the stage for you to gain access to funds. To take advantage of this opportunity, however, you must be active with the State WIC office and have the Healthy Together app on your phone. Through the app, you can see your balance, complete sales, and get direct deposit of funds.

If you are interested in getting started, you can download a flyer with a QR code here:
