About edgeAdmin

The Helena Farmers Market is the longest-running market in the state of Montana. Celebrating its 51st birthday in June 2024, the market is THE Saturday morning event for the community, and winner of Best of Montana in the event category for 2023 from Distinctly Montana magazine! Today the market stretches two full blocks in downtown Helena, drawing over 350 Montana vendors rotating through the season. Local farmers, food vendors and other artisans bring their Montana-made products downtown for the local Helena community to see and purchase. While they browse, shoppers enjoy the serenade of local musicians and smell the fragrant aroma of fresh floral arrangements, kettle corn, and delicious cuisines from local food trucks. Come join in the community fellowship at the Helena Farmer’s Market.

Payment

Cash, credit, debit and SNAP/EBT are all accepted.

The Market has an electronic debit/credit card and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) machine that is available free of charge to all customers and vendors. Customers using the machine will be given tokens rather than cash. The debit/credit card transactions are given white, black and blue tokens.  The EBT transactions are given yellow and green tokens.  The SNAP benefit transactions are given red and brown tokens.  Vendors may give change back to the customers using the debit/credit card tokens, but change must not be given to customers using the EBT or SNAP tokens.  See our website for a list of food related products that may be purchased with EBT tokens.  SNAP tokens may only be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.  Vendors who receive tokens may redeem them at the EBT booth. Vendors will receive a check for the total token value they receive.  Contact The Market Manager if you have any questions. No cash refunds will be given for EBT or SNAP tokens.
